Taiyo Museum: Sharing a story of opportunity in 10 languages

Taiyo Museum in Beppu now welcomes visitors with a Laxy guide covering 15 stops in 10 languages. We are happy to contribute to Taiyonoie's work by helping more visitors understand its story, in words they can read and listen to on their own smartphones.

Opportunity through work and everyday life

Since its founding in 1965, Taiyonoie (Japan Sun Industries) has supported people with disabilities through employment, daily life and sports. Guided by the motto "No Charity, but a Chance!", it works with partner companies to create opportunities for people to use their abilities and participate in their communities.

That work extends beyond the workplace. Taiyonoie supports daily living, encourages community exchange, and provides opportunities to take part in para sports. Its approach connects work with the everyday experiences that help people live in their own way.

A museum that invites people to think about living together

Taiyo Museum shares this history and the ideas behind it. Through archives, exhibits and hands-on experiences, visitors can learn about founder Dr. Yutaka Nakamura, the development of para sports, and the tools and practical adaptations that support work and daily life.

The museum is also a place for community exchange. It invites visitors to consider what a society where everyone can participate looks like, and how they can contribute to it. Exhibits about living in one's own way and living together connect that question to everyday life.

Real stories. Trusted knowledge. Shared across languages.

We believe the future of AI-powered guides must be built on authentic knowledge and direct collaboration with the organizations behind each story. Laxy works with official organizations to bring their expertise and source material to life across languages. Our vision goes beyond generating content: we want every visitor to connect with the people, purpose, and history behind what they discover.

We are proud to contribute to Taiyo Museum’s mission and help Taiyonoie’s story reach more people. By bringing institutional knowledge and AI together, we aim to set a higher standard for visitor experiences—grounded in reliable sources, rich in context, and accessible across languages.

If your museum, cultural venue or visitor destination is preparing a multilingual guide, contact our team. We would be happy to discuss your stories, visitors and language needs.
